26 Feb 10 Scholarships for Moms - Obama's Federal Stimulus Money Aimed at Mothers

As a stay at home mom who has often considered returning to school I was thrilled to hear that federal stimulus money was being made available for moms to go back to school. I had weighed the options many times and knew that it would be a financial hardship for my family. I had researched Scholarships for Moms and found very few to almost none available.

Therefore, my dream of returning to school to help make things better for my family, was put off. Instead I took small odd jobs around my neighborhood like babysitting and transporting elderly neighbors to and from doctors appointments and airports. It helped a little, but not near as much as I had hoped to make by returning to school.

Now, my dream is becoming more of a reality. Thanks to the Scholarships for Moms program that President Obama has enacted I will probably be able to return to school get my degree and a better job to help my family. After 8 years as a stay at home mom I am really looking forward to returning to school, meeting new people and helping my family. Everyone tried to tell me that there would be nothing for me, a middle-class housewife in the stimulus plans being pushed by the government.

No, I do not qualify for cash for clunkers, I am willfully unemployed, so unemployment extensions and packages to help pay for COBRA will not help me. They were wrong. Obama has a Scholarship for me, and he may even have one for you.
